Final render and lighting on the light house with added sand and ocean using planes and texturing the shapes to make they look like sand and sea. Coping and pasting the frame to the door of the light house to make it look like an arch to make an entrance to the island.
Red pole going through the golden ball to hold structure and shape and add some more colour. 
Golden ball textured on top of the lighthouse. It is golden to give of the light when I render the 3D model.

New thicker door to add a shadow when I render the 3D Model of the light house. Also a wooden red texture on the frame as to add more effect and colour to the light house.
This is research for light houses to get an idea of how they look and the history and how they work to help me with my 3D modelling in Maya.
Top of light house added to the main part of the light house. Curls have been textured red and added to the building structure and starting to work on the floating ball at the top of the light house. Kept with the bright colour seam as for the theme is to tell a story of celebration.  
Bottom of the lighthouse textured and with a fence around the bottom. white and red fence as stated in my concept art I have done on paper. Bigger longer windows have also been added with the same textured as on the bottom windows. 29/9/15
Bottom of light house starting to model in Maya to create a Chinese celebration themed lighthouse with granite texture on the building and red frames for windows and for the door as well to give off colour of the celebrations that happen in china are colourful. Also rainbow coloured windows to add more colour and brightness to the lighthouse.29/9/15
